Activities/Outputs:

In addition to our ongoing supplementary education programs and holiday extracurricular activities, we provide regular drop-in advice, informational support, and community assistance services throughout the year. These services are designed to be accessible to a wide range of community members, including parents and carers, young people, vulnerable adults, and elderly residents. We operate on multiple weekdays each week, offering face-to-face consultations, advice sessions, and awareness-raising activities at our community centre, as well as online support to ensure broader accessibility.

Our face-to-face drop-in advice sessions have supported numerous parents and carers, offering guidance on children’s education, social behaviour, and family-related issues. For vulnerable adults and young people, we have provided tailored support concerning housing concerns, benefits, and general welfare through direct meetings and telephone consultations. In total, dozens of community members have benefited from these services during the last academic year, with specific focus on addressing their individual needs and providing practical guidance.

Outcome/Achievement:

The effectiveness of our drop-in advice and support services has been monitored and evaluated through direct feedback from service users. A significant portion of beneficiaries completed feedback questionnaires, with the majority expressing high levels of satisfaction with the services received. Feedback indicated that clients appreciated the accessibility, professionalism, and relevance of the advice provided both in person and via telephone. Overall, most respondents reported that the support helped them better understand their issues and empowered them to take appropriate actions, demonstrating the positive impact of these community services on individual well-being and family stability.

Local Community Network & Partnership:

Throughout the academic year, our organization actively collaborated with a diverse range of local community groups, voluntary organizations, and statutory agencies. These partnerships include supplementary schools, forums dedicated to supporting supplementary education, foundations committed to community development, national resource centres, and voluntary action networks. Such collaborations are crucial for small community organizations like ours, as they help expand our network, enhance the sustainability of our services, and facilitate access to valuable resources.

Through these partnerships, we benefit from free training sessions, fundraising opportunities, and management development programs aimed at achieving quality standards and improving service delivery. Additionally, working with our partners allows us to broaden the scope of our extracurricular activities during school holidays, providing engaging activities for children and young people.

One of the key outcomes of these collaborations has been the provision of free, nutritious meals to children in our community who are eligible for free school meals. This initiative helps address food insecurity and promotes healthy eating among vulnerable families. Sharing best practices and successful approaches among partner organizations has contributed significantly to the positive development of our community support programs, ensuring that our beneficiaries receive holistic and effective assistance.
